A bank holiday for the state funeral of HM The Queen has been announced for Monday 19 September 2022. In line with usual bank holiday protocol, Direct Debits and BACS Direct Credits will not be processed, will not arrive and cannot be submitted on Monday 19 September.
If you are planning to submit any files this week, you must follow the revised timetable, to ensure payments arrive on the intended date.

If you have already submitted payments with a processing date of 16 September, originally due to be applied to accounts on 19 September, you do not need to take any action. With no further intervention from your sponsoring payment service provider, your payments will now be applied on 20 September 2022.
If you have already submitted payments with a processing date of 19 September, you do not need to take any action. The payments will be applied to accounts as intended on 20 September 2022.
Given the short notice of the bank holiday, be aware that some BACS software solutions may still show Monday 19 September as a processing date.
